I know this has been flying around the internet for days, and chances are you’ve already seen it, but I had to post it anyway.
I had to.
Not just because I love the Olympics dearly and am especially excited to watch them this year, because last summer Olympics I was in a third world country without a TV and didn’t get to watch a minute of them.
Not just because I’m something of an evangelist for motherhood, and am moved when I think about my own mother’s sacrifices for her children’s dreams.
Not just because I’m a hopeless cry baby, and I sob through All State commercials even though I know they’re crooks.
But because I was (and remain) a fiercely brand-loyal P&G shopper.
My Dad worked for Proctor & Gamble for pretty much the first 21 years of my life, so we bought Crest toothpaste, and Jif peanut butter, and Cover Girl cosmetics like it was our job — because it kind of was.
P&G got this one so, so right.
