Forbes Magazine just released its list of the world’s 100 most powerful women.
As you might expect, the list is impressive.
As you might not expect, the list is diverse.
There are the Hillarys and Michelles, but also the Rowlings and the Gagas. There’s the editor of Newsweek and the editor of Vogue. There’s the chancellor of Germany and the president of Harvard, but also the head designer at Prada and a co-founder of the Bill and Melinda Gate’s Foundation. (Hint: It’s not Bill.) Number 49 is Queen Elizabeth, but 55 is Ellen DeGeneres.
Women are as diverse as the causes they champion and industries they run.
And that is part of their power.
P.S. Make sure you check out this video of women on the list defining “power.”
